Evo-MCTS combines language models, evolutionary optimization, and Monte Carlo tree search to discover gravitational-wave detection programs. This talk examines what search trajectories and program inspection reveal about the results, why benchmark gains need independent physical validation, and how these lessons inform broader AI-assisted physics research.
